국제건설 프로젝트에서 클레임이 처리되는 과정을 연구하며, 특히 청구 사유와 의사결정 구조에 따라 클레임의 검토·판단 과정이 어떻게 달라지는지에 관심을 두고 있습니다.

이바울 연구원은 연세대학교 Smart Infrastructure Lab의 박사과정 연구원입니다. 한국농어촌공사에서 프로젝트 매니저로 경력을 시작해 수자원 인프라의 개발 및 유지관리 사업을 수행했습니다. 이후 대한건설정책연구원에서 스마트 기술 적용, 건설산업 정책 및 전문건설업 정책을 연구했으며, Savills 서울 오피스에서 컨설턴트 및 연구원으로 부동산 개발 컨설팅과 시장조사를 수행했습니다. 현재 신영증권에서 패밀리오피스와 고액자산가를 위한 부동산 개발 및 투자 업무를 담당하고 있습니다.

저는 현재 건설현장에서 스마트 안전 장비 도입 시 발생할 수 있는 경제적 편익을 분석하는 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 또한, 건설 자재(철근, 콘크리트) 비용의 변동성에 대응하기 위해 선물 및 선도 계약을 활용한 금융 헤지 전략에 대해서도 연구하고 있습니다.
